Why we use WordPress for our Therapist Websites
Easy to update yourself
Wordpress is widely considered easy to use and is the CMS of choice for almost 75 million websites worldwide. To edit your therapy website you simply log on to the WordPress Dashboard, browse to the page you want to edit, make your changes and click on “Update”. You can update your website from anywhere in the world, wherever you have an internet connection, using any modern web browser.
If you are used to using Word Processing software, you will find WordPress quite intuitive. We provide a set of video tutorials – regularly updated – which will talk you through anything you’re unsure about. In addition, there are many free tutorials and support forums on the internet, and you can usually find help very quickly, without having to pay for additional support.
Embed media
It is easy to embed different types of media, e.g. YouTube videos and audio files, without needing to know any programming code – simply paste the link to the media into your web page.
Blog
One of the main reasons for using WordPress is the ability to blog within your website, thereby creating relevant and up to date content for your prospective clients. This serves several purposes: it gives your prospective client an impression of who you are and what you are about; it enhances your presence on the internet, where – let’s face it – there are thousands of other therapists trying to get themselves known; and Google likes fresh web content, and blogging helps to improve your search rankings for any number of search terms.
Portability
Unlike other popular platforms such as Wix and Weebly, your WordPress website is portable; once your website is paid for, it belongs to you and you can move it to another WordPress host at any time and for any reason. Of course we hope you will want to stay with us, but we believe in giving you choice.
