Adding functionality

What on earth is a plugin?

A plugin is a piece of software which slots into WordPress and extends its functionality. Plugins make it easy for WordPress users to add features to their website without knowing a single line of programming code.

What can a plugin do?

Almost anything you can imagine! If there’s something you want your WordPress therapy website to do that it doesn’t already do, a plugin can help you achieve it. Here are just a few examples of the additional features you could add to your counselling or therapy website:

  • an events management plugin to advertise your events or classes
  • a course management plugin so that you can run courses online
  • an appointments plugin so that clients can request and / or book appointments online
  • a protected members area for clients
  • newsletter integration

When you buy your website from us, we can install any of the above plugins for you either at the initial setup or further down the line whenever you’re ready. Plugin installation is free, and configuration and styling is charged at our normal hourly rate (of course you are welcome to do this yourself if you have the skills and the time).
